Christmas Portraits 2013

These are the pictures we used for our holiday card for Christmas 2013....most which never made it out to the mail. I even carried around the envelopes in the car with me while in FL and I still forgot to hand them out to some family members while we visited with them.  Sorry...but here they are!

Below is the very first picture the photographer snapped and it was the best shot of just the kids.  That always seems to be the case, 1st time is golden and then it goes downhill very quickly.  I'm actually kind of sad looking at these now since we chopped all of Liam's hair over the holidays.  He needed a haircut badly before the shoot but we had to wait until we got to FL so my cousin could cut his hair.  She's the only one Liam trusts to cut his hair and he sits very patiently while she works whereas if we took him to a salon he cries/screams and does not stay still long enough for a cut. 

There were about 20 shots of the family picture and this was the best one of the kids.  And Liam, if you see this picture when you are older and question whether this was the "best picture"...yes, this was in fact the best shot of you in this picture series.  There were worse....and we spared you the embarrassment (of putting it on the blog but I still have a private copy of the "worst" one!).  xoxo

 Notice how in the first picture of the kids Ellie is wearing a bow and shoes, and the subsequent pictures are missing shoes and/or bow.  I tried, she wasn't having it.

 Ellie thought this little ottoman was a walker and she kept wanting to push it around.  The photographer wanted her to sit down but again, she wasn't having it.

This was the ONLY picture of Liam she was able to take by himself.  By this time, he was ready to go home.  While his facial expression doesn't look like "our Liam", we love that we were able to capture him with sleeves rolled up.  That's Liam's "thing" now.  Anytime he wears long sleeves, he rolls them up.  He's cool like that.

Our Gavin....he's a pro at taking pictures now.  We just have to tell him where to stand and he does the rest. I love his hands in pocket look.  That's become his "thing" too.
