Liam's class sang a short song about a spider. Liam did great despite having many technical difficulties with his spider (the cord broke off, the spider ended up away from him...).
After school, we headed to Florida for the weekend to trick or treat with the grandparents. We were able to keep the tradition of trick or treating at Publix before going out through the neighborhood. We went to two different Publix stores and the first one was so much better. They did everything we expected and had the kids favorite treat, "popcorn hands" (a deli glove filled with popcorn and candy corn as the "nails").
After Publix, the party was at Uncle John and Titi Maribel's house this year. The kids all got together and worked on a Halloween day performance which was awesome.
The neighborhood was great to trick or treat at with lots of people outside. It reminded me a lot of our old FL neighborhood.

Joy all around.
We say it every time but this was a great family weekend. It was great for the kids to spend time with their cousin. I know Ellie loved playing in Isa's room. We had to beg her to go trick or treating and finally she conceded but with a condition. She said, "I am only going to THREE houses". She loved playing with Isa's baby dolls and doll house. It's so funny for us to watch her in this all-girl environment and how she just does what you expect a little girl to do even though she doesn't play like that at home. It's fascinating.
Thank you to my mom for the yummy dinner food and for Uncle John and Titi Maribel for inviting us over to their house. We had so much fun!!!
