"Discover the Dinosaurs" Day
Friday we went to the Expo Center in Charlotte where they are hosting a one weekend event called "Discover the Dinosaurs." They had life size animatronic dinosaurs. The cool part was that the kids themselves could push buttons to animate the dinos. Liam was a little scared at first but once he found the buttons and realized he could make them move, he was racing from one exhibit to the other. This was fun for the boys until they both realized there were bouncehouses at the end of the "trail" and they both just wanted to get it over with so they could go bounce. And bounce they did. Gavin made a friend at the first bouncehouse--the guy that was supervising that bouncehouse was super nice. Nick was busy watching Liam but Gavin was happy because there were no other kids and the bouncehouse guy was talking and playing with him. For once, I saw Gavin being the "boss." He kept telling the guy what to do and the guy was happy to comply with his requests. Gavin loved racing him up and down the slide.
Both boys had a blast. Nick got his cardio workout for the day. He said he was physically and mentally tired--it's mentally draining to keep track of the kids all the time.
this is the "dino den" for little ones to play and climb on baby dinos.
