Discovery Place

Today we took a trip to Discovery Place in downtown Charlotte (or uptown as they say here) which is a member museum for the passes we got last week.  This is another great place for Gavin to explore and learn.  We never left the 1st floor so we still have a whole floor to explore next time.  This place is like the Orlando Science Center.  I haven't been to the center in a while but I don't recall them having specific areas for toddlers.  This place did and it's awesome.  Another contained space that I feel comfortable going with both kids.
This is a gated area for ages 0-3.  Most of the stuff was too little for Gavin but he still enjoyed it.

Watching Gavin play

A life size Brite-Lite.

Water works.  All kinds of fun things to do with water.

Gavin trying to make a river.  They had jets and you can position plastic barriers to create a  current.

Just for Abuelo.....Gavin built a dragster!

Using a magnifying glass to look at rocks.  They had microscopes connected to computer screens all over the place and Gavin enjoyed putting things under the microscope and looking at them in the screen.  He even watched his own hand under the scope for a while.
